A children's literature mural for our Little Library

In this year’s Community Giving, we seek your support for a bright, bold, and engaging children’s literature mural to boost the creative spirit and enjoyment of art for our Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Prep students.

The mural will be a wonderful addition to our well-resourced picture story collection in the Little Library in Farrer House,’ said Anna Davidson, Head of the Kew Junior School Library.

It will transform this treasured space by providing a striking and provide a colourful and vibrant recognition of the central role for children’s literature in providing the foundation for learning.

‘Pictures represent relatively a concrete and familiar experience for young learners and the mural will help stimulate our students’ imagination and curiosity.’

Our expert teachers work hard to ensure the physical environment, including the Little Library, supports our youngest students’ learning, providing a beautiful, stimulating environment that encourages a sense of wonder, challenge and the opportunity to explore their own interests.
